Belgian car drivers in winter

The last harsh winter in Belgium was in 2009-2010. Since then, winters have been milder, but the economic crisis has been in full swing and the cost of living has risen sharply in the last 3-4 years.

Belgians spend their money on things they consider essential and winter tyres are not one of them. In fact, the tyre sector has seen a reduction of almost 30%. Belgians see that it is snowing less and less and that with 4-season tyres there are no storage or rotation costs and the tyres still hold up well on the road. Nevertheless, we should remember that in certain areas such as Liège, there may still be heavy snowfall, so we should remain cautious.
